Raleigh, NC-based US Radiology Specialists has appointed Caitlin Zulla as its new CEO, succeeding Lee Cooper, who has led the organization since 2023.
Most recently, Zulla served as CEO of Optum Health East, where she oversaw healthcare delivery across 10 states, US Radiology Specialists noted. She is the former CEO of SCA Health, where she oversaw more than 320 surgical facilities, 13,500 physicians, and 11,500 team members who serve more than 1.4 million patients annually. Zulla’s other previous roles include chief financial officer and chief administrative officer at SCA Health.
In its announcement, US Radiology Specialists reported that it now operates 180 outpatient imaging centers across 13 U.S. states and completes approximately 8 million studies annually. The company maintains partnerships with subspecialized radiology groups, imaging centers, and joint ventures.
Cooper will return to his previous role as chair of the company’s board of directors.
